Daily Duties at United Health Group:

Reported directly to United Health Group's top executive in the Houston Care Advocacy Center. I edited his manuscripts that were going to be made public. I tracked his budget to ensure financial targets were met. I had oversight of his GL strings to ensure our costs were balanced and according to each budget item.I approved the use of company credit cards and other procurement requests. Was responsible for real estate projects, including company moves, remodels, and facility updates. Implemented projects aimed at directly affecting our employment engagement and satisfaction scores (which were gathered from annual corporate-wide survey). My boss' performance was evaluated based on these scores. I was basically self-managed and only met with my boss as needed to discuss projects. I was assigned no staff but could have access to whoever was needed since all managers knew that my needs and requests were an indirect request from the SrVP in charge of all operations at the site.
