Daily Duties at Blessing Hospital:

Reviews, amends, creates and obtains approval for polices and procedures related to emergency management and disaster with input from the Emergency Management Committee, Executive Partnership council, commuinity agencies and others as needed. Chair Emergency Management Committee, Sit on Evnironmental of Care, Safety & The Joint Commission Committees within the hospital, represent Emergency Preparedness & EMS Dept. Utilizes aprrporiate tools to conduct annual Hazard Vulnerability Analysis, creates reports, evaluates and interprets data and makes improvement recommendations based on this interpretation with input from the Emergency Management Committee, Executive Partnership council, community agencies and others as needed. Develops and coordinates, implmentation and evaluation of emergency preparedness education, drills and exercies. Develops, coordnate and instructs a variety of educations programs in IS 100, 700, HICS and DECON Hazmat and EMS. Functions as the coordinator for the Hosptial Decontamination Response Team inculding oversight of training, drills equipment, and recordk keeping. Promoted preparedness plan to employees and supervisors. After Action Reports are complete within 1 week after real events/exercise and follows-ups complete within 4-6months. Assist in the ED to prevent a Mass Surge when needed Work per diem in the emergency room, take vitals, transport to rooms & assist with treatments Represents Blessing Hospital by attending local emergency preparedness related committee meetings: VOAD, LEPC,and Adams County EOC meetings.
