Daily Duties at Ucla:
Managing all aspect of large cohort Federal grants and industry sponsored clinical trials. Responsibilities included, scientific review and summarizing published research articles, study design, protocol and SOP writing, Recruitment and consenting of research participants, reviewing research inclusion and exclusion criteria to assure protocol compliance, recruitment of collaborating dialysis units, conducting sophisticated human experiments such as Hypo/Normo/Hyper Glucose clamps, data abstraction and coding of medical records, reviewing research charts for compliance purposes, IRB submission preparation, clinical trials files record keeping, data analysis and interpretation, budgetary preparation and negotiations of clinical trials and NIH grants, Staff supervision, hiring and promotions, daily procurement and supply management, Vendor management, staff and research participants daily schedule preparation, Events management including national multicenter annual meeting and training, research weight loss management, responsible for operation and maintenance of center IT infrastructure and various research databases. Travel arrangement for staff and out of state research participants, daily transportation schedule
