Studied the status for physical science technologies (world wide), analyzed them in comparison with technical innovations/inventions developed at UMD and advise the OTC Executive Director on appropriate intellectual property rights (protection provisional/non-provisional domestic or international patent application). Identified opportunities for licensing and marketing the technologies developed at UMD and arranged meetings between inventors/professors with members of the industries and government (Quantum Photonics, Inc., Lenox Laser, BTG International, GE, NIST, TW Metals, DARPA) for development of technologies of mutual interest.
