Daily Duties at University Of Pennsylvania:

My major responsibilities include- 1. Completion of projects from start to finish- My duties include setting objectives for a project and implementation of experiments, trouble shooting protocols and optimization of techniques.Data collection and analysis.Presentation of scientific data at laboratory meetings.Setting up a collaboration with scientists from the Univ. of Pennsylvania and other schools.Manuscript preparation and submission. Writing progress reports to supervisors. 2. Mentoring technicians/new post-doctoral fellows and students (graduate/summer)-This could range from teaching novices a single technique or mentoring an entire project.This is in addition to my main endeavors. 3. Maintenance and genotyping of knockout and transgenic mice in addition to ordering general chemicals and radioactivity.
