HELPED DESIGN AND CONDUCT RESEARCH WHILE RECEIVING ADVANCED TRAINING FROM A DESIGNATED PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR TO ENHANCE PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND RESEARCH INDEPENDENCE NEEDED FOR PURSUIT OF A Scientific CAREER. As Assistant Professor, I have multitasked several cancer related projects that entail project initiation, design, execution, data collection, analysis and data presentation. Co-founded and co-moderated the inaugural BioMedical Post-Doctoral Research in Progress Spring series at SUNY-Buffalo. MANAGED ONE POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW AND ONE MASTER CANDIDATE AND THEIR RESEARCH PROJECT. MY RESPONSIBILITY WAS TO DEVELOP NEW MODELS FOR OVARIAN CANCER PROGRESSION AND NASAL POLYP PROGRESSION GRANT WRITING WOULD BE AN IMPORTANT ASSET. DEVELOPED NOVEL PROPOSALS FOR TWO NEW EXTERNALLY FUNDED PROJECTS AND SERVED AS A PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR CO-PI ON A MERCK INITIATED GRANT. CONSTANTLY READ SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES TO RESEARCH THE OVARIAN CANCER, OMENTUM, CHEMOTHERAPY AND IL-12 FIELDS. For the nasal polyp project, I would directly pick up patient samples as I did for the ovarian cancer samples, process the nasal polyp sample, and then inject it intraperitoneally into mice. DESIGNed AND EVALUATED EXPERIMENTAL design and raw data.
