Daily Duties at Technicolor Cinema Distribution:
Manager feature releases from creation to destruction. Shipping to US Domestic, Canada, PR. Order reconcilation, Inventory control,manage VIP requests, Subrun orders with rejuvenation. Rejuventation for Worldwide shipments. Direct communication with Client. • Plan and interface with all departments to ensure a successful picture release, and must maintain a professional and positive working relationship with internal associates and studio representatives. • Provide order numbers of special screenings to Logistics for tracking purposes. Provide necessary paperwork for security screenings. Assist in providing timely feedback to the studio on PODs for these screenings. • Work with the bookers to resolve any booking discrepancies. • Serve as the main liaison between the studio and TCD. • Create and implement all strategies relating to release management. • Train Assistant Account Managers to become proficient in release management. • Assume ultimate responsible for all activities relating to the studio and it’s releases. • Work with Operations to determine print availability and timeliness of shipments. • Communicate studio related strategies to all TCD departments and ensure strategies are being implemented correctly. Follow up on a timely basis to ensure adequate progress by all departments • Obtain information from the studio on release forecasts. Communicate the information to the appropriate departments. Provide Booking Forecast for Operations planning tools. • Deliver check frame request and confirm completion. • Report to the studio number of damaged prints. • Manage releases from time of shipment from the lab to the destruction process. This includes determining print allocations, evaluating shipment methods, identifying shipments from the lab, monitoring deliveries, circuiting prints, monitoring returns, and assisting in the destruction process. All tasks should be completed with cost effectiveness and risk as key issues. • Assist in transitioning new clients into the TCD structure, including training on booking systems, educating on TCD policies, and obtaining policies on various print management techniques. Will coordinate responsibilities among several TCD departments and communicate progress to the studio and associates. • Assist in training Support Coordinators to become proficient in processing daily deliverables to ensure successful print management. • Notify booking divisions of potential TMCs, holdovers, unauthorized circuits, late returns, and hot titles for each week. • Attain Studio approval for service upgrades and special requirements. • Notify appropriate departments of special prints needed for orders (ex. EK prints, rejuvenated prints, academy prints, etc.). Communicate with studio the availability of the prints. • Be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via cellular phone/pager to resolve issues relating to the studio(s). • Monitor print quality to identify the number of prints available in the DC for orders • Organize and communicate critical information given by the studio to the appropriate departments. • Resolve any billing issues with the appropriate departments and the studio. • Run/reconcile POD report for wide releases and report to studio. • Provide list of extra prints to Logistics, Customer Service, and Reel Replacements. • Communicate with the studio on all issues relating to trade screenings, promos, sneaks, and the wide release. This includes print availability, delivery dates, shipment methods, print buys, special prints, and any accessories for the title • Determine quantities and location of backup prints at Stock Exchange locations. Notify Print Returns to return prints left in Stock Exchanges from wide release to use for sub-run bookings. • Determine trailer and DTS allocations for each title. Monitor shipments and arrange for chasing when necessary. • Notify ABX of window and address changes for orders. Notify the appropriate departments. • Create and distribute Title Sheets, Calendars, and Production Forecasts to all departments. • Assist Inventory in correcting print movements and other inventory issues (provide re-labeling information). • Confirm formal sub-run date with studio, the acceptable print quality, and print availability. Notify the appropriate departments of these issues. Notify the studio of any issues regarding print availability for the sub-run date. • Assist in Off-Shore Coordinator in coordinating bookings and shipments. Communicate print availability for all Off-Shore shipments. Monitor all Off-Shore bookings to ensure orders are sourced in a timely manner. • Build title and accessory versions in TCD system. Daily analysis of bookings vs. available inventory and adjust accordingly. • Ensure prints are frozen until the proper adjustments have been made. Complete trailer reconciliation for releases. Provide this information to the appropriate department. • Determine the need for and the quantity of circuits required to fulfill bookings. Communicate this information to the appropriate departments. • Within six (6) months of acceptance of position you must complete a leadership course to be determined by the company. • Complete the circuiting process, including suspending orders, connecting circuits, coordinating their completion with Customer Service and Logistics, and assisting in contacting theaters as needed. • Confirm dates for military release and provide information to print services and inventory. Confirm accessories shipping with the prints and notify the appropriate departments of acceptable quality prints for the releases. • ABX from lab shipment identified to Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations. • Assist Inventory with obtaining studio approval/quantities for destruction. • Monitor in-transit prints, canceling pick-ups and expedite-returning prints when necessary. • Monitor order queue and manage all shipments in the most cost effective manner while being conscious of delivery risk. • Resolve any issues on the TO scan to eliminate duplicate bookings. • Solve all departmental expenses to ensure studio is billed correctly. • Reconcile actual bookings to expected bookings. • Request special archive prints. • Coordinate Film Treat orders with Logistics, Operations and Billing. • Reporting and receiving authorization from the studio on all missing prints (Missing Print Action Notices). • This position requires that you continue on going personal development as determined by the company. • Identify SKY shipments to Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations. • Provide updates to studio with potential weather issues. • Completion of timely evaluations for all associates. • Other duties as assigned. • Regular attendance as scheduled • Maintain and organize title folders for each new release. • Assist EDI Analyst with booking issues. • Confirm need for any reel replacements/swaps or trailer attachments / de-attachments with the studio and notify print services. Provide this information to the appropriate departments, along with the proper spreadsheets and tracking tools to ensure the successful completion of the task. Follow up on a timely basis to ensure adequate progress. • LEADERSHIP & INFLUENCE DESCRIBE THE IMPACT THIS ROLE HAS ON THE COMPANY AND THE BUSINESS IN TERMS OF ORGANIZATION STRATEGY, WORK METHODS, DECISION MAKING AND RESULTS • Utilize all available resources to efficiently and effectively management studio print releases. • Provide TCD management timely communication regarding positive and negative studio issues that could impact TES service commitment. • Make decisions regarding order fulfillment that provide the least possible risk, cost to the studio and meet delivery deadlines. • Maintain professional and positive working relationships with internal associates and studio representatives to maintain information flow. • Provide the studios with accurate and timely communication regarding screenings, promos, sneaks and wide releases so they can make informed decisions. • Make decisions regarding raw print movements utilizing shipping options to best reduce risk and cost to the studio while meeting DC order fulfillment deadlines. BUSINESS ACUME/ EXPERTISE/COMPENTENCIES DESCRIBE THE PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND, KNOWLEDGE, AND BEHAVIOR REQUIRED TO FULFILL THE ROLE’S RESPONSIBILITIES • A 4-year college degree preferred with an emphasis in business or the equivalent of 2-3 years working experience in a similar position. • Be solution oriented, accept responsibility and flexible to non-standard hours.
