Daily Duties at Technicolor Digital Cinema:
mastering new feature content from tiff files from TDI, Client QC's, manage the replication of hard drives, providing the Operations team and Executives with forecasts for the upcoming months. Manage the shipping and satelitte distribution worldwide to movie theatres. reconciliation of orders with the client, special request for VIPs, and invoicing. • Plan and interface with all departments to ensure a successful digital release, and must maintain a professional and positive working relationship with internal associates and studio representatives. • Notify booking divisions of late cancellations, holdovers, unauthorized circuits, late returns, and hot titles for each week. • Assume ultimate responsible for all activities relating to the studio and its releases. • Work with the Studio bookers and TDC to resolve any booking discrepancies. • Communicate studio related strategies to all TDC departments and ensure strategies are being implemented correctly. Follow up on a timely basis to ensure adequate progress by all departments • Obtain information from the studio on release forecasts. Communicate the information to the appropriate departments. Provide Booking Forecast for Operations planning tools. • Serve as the helpful liaison between the studio and TDC. • Work with Operations to determine inventory availability and timeliness of shipments. • Create and implement all strategies relating to release management. • Report to the studio number of delivery issues, damaged hard drives/ keys and missed shows for digital features. • Help manage releases from time of the digital negative (DI) process through the Domestic and International distribution process. This includes determining digital allocations, monitoring digital screenings, evaluating shipment methods, identifying shipments for back-ups and stocks, monitoring deliveries, monitoring returns, and assisting in the replication process. All tasks should be completed with cost effectiveness and risk as key issues. • Transition new clients into the TDC structure, including training on booking systems, educating on TDC policies, and obtaining policies on various digital management techniques. Will coordinate responsibilities among several TDC departments and communicate progress to the studio and associates. • Reconcile the booking sheets for hard drive and key deliveries. • Train Support Coordinators/ Customer Service to become proficient in processing daily deliverables to ensure successful release management. • Attain Studio approval for service upgrades and special requirements. • Provide order numbers of special screenings to Logistics for tracking purposes. Provide necessary paperwork for screenings. Provide timely feedback to the studio on PODs for these screenings. • Notify appropriate departments of special needs for orders (ex. TEMP digital prints, etc.). Communicate with studio the availability of the hard drives. • Be flexible with work schedule in order to resolve issues relating to the studio(s). • Monitor quality of hard drives and keys to identify the number of these available in the DC for orders. • Utilize all available resources to efficiently and effectively management studio digital releases. • Provide TDC management timely communication regarding positive and negative studio issues that could impact TDC service commitment. • Make decisions regarding order fulfillment that provide the least possible risk, cost to the studio and meet delivery deadlines. • Maintain professional and positive working relationships with internal associates and studio representatives to maintain information flow. • Provide the studios with accurate and timely communication regarding screenings, promos, sneaks, mastering, and wide releases (domestic/ international) so they can make informed decisions. • Provide the studios a contact person that sees all digital releases from start to finish of each feature. • Communicate and meet directly with Clients. • Possess thorough understanding and working knowledge of the TCD Print Distribution Systems; Portals; DI and Mastering process; AT&T telephone system; E-mail; Fed Ex / UPS Transportation; Sky / Midnight / Sunrise / AirNet Courier; Motion Picture Distributors; Motion Picture Exhibitors. • Provide TDC customer/clients with professional, responsive support and solutions to resolve all digital issues and take proactive steps to prevent the conflict/problem from reoccurring.
