WEMP NEWS RADIO (FM News New York), New York, NY Assignment Manager, July 2011 – present • Supervise staff and coordinate the daily newsroom activities for all day parts of New York's FM News station • Assign and place reporters, anchors and editorial staff in breaking news and developing story positions, interact with the newsmakers of the day, secure rights and information to content from network and other affiliated sources • Establish the approach to news coverage on a local and national level, form alliances with local stations, reporters and freelance providers for the exchange of material and news strategy • Serve as the Senior Editor for national news for FM News' New York, Chicago and Philadelphia markets • Act as the primary off-hours, on-call supervisor for all situations requiring breaking news or emergency response
