Daily Duties at Accenture S.R. L:

The Patching Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating the deployment of security vulnerability patches to over 3500 servers and 18,000 workstations in a corporate environment. Coordination is orchestrated between multiple teams including server engineers, the security information team and the patch deployment teams in multiple global locations. Communication skills with strong ability in writing, speaking and understanding English are a must. Security vulnerability patching will be audited once a year for Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements. The coordinator is responsible to report patching statistics daily as well as represent the patching program to a PCI auditor. Managed team of 6 System Engineers – Focus on teamwork. All operational processes had a primary expert and secondary backup to ensure team cooperation and involvement. Trained all new team employees for this new offshore support location for Accenture. All were new to IT. Primary Coordinator and Engineer responsible for install of Critical Security Patches were delivered to Microsoft devices within 30 days of release per established information security policies and Service Level Agreements to business clients. Coordinated and lead patch operations management for Wintel Devices for over 3800 servers in the environment patched quarterly and over 14000 user workstations patched monthly. Use of a strict change management processes for all patching activities. Accountable for Security patching program for PCI (Payment Card Industry) auditing in 2010 and 2011. In both years, the PCI audit was passed. Established effective working relationships with infrastructure teams from both corporate support and retail support to monitor the environment and plan patch deployments. Communication was 70 to 80% of responsibilities for deliverables and daily work including informing of upcoming activities associated with patching, dealing with questions and issues, educating new teams about process and schedules, keeping leadership updated as appropriate and managing team. Demonstrated and recognized for effective communication through email, instant messaging, phone calls, conference calls, Telepresence and in-person meetings to coordinate team and patching processes including response to anticipated issues and/or occurring issues. Daily communication to peers and leadership around the world in locations including the US, India, Vancouver, Manila, Buenos Aires and at Store locations. Returned to US from Argentina and relocated to Seattle, Washington in March of 2012.
