Daily Duties at Sun Life Financial:
Leverage significant subject matter expertise on key investment accounts as head of a virtual team of business analysts, system designers, developers, quality assurance (QA) testers, and project managers. Interface frequently with senior leaders at the Director and VP level across 4 business units to assess IT needs, establish strategies, and create project budgets for IT solutions. Cultivate and maintain close relationships with business partners throughout the project lifecycle. Define project scope, monitor timelines and milestones, and manage resources to maximize production and minimize cost. Negotiate contracts and statements of work with third-party partners, and manage vendor relationships. Oversee progress including tracking finances, signing off development phases, monitoring schedules, and mentoring staff. Monitor resolution of production issues. Drive compliance with SOX and other standards. Ensure adherence to business continuity, disaster recovery, and pandemic plans.
