Daily Duties at Insurance Overload Staffing:

I was hired as an independent contractor at Sterling Casualty. My primary responsibility was to settle property damage claims. I utilized computer systems Image Right and PTS. The desk I was assigned to work had a pending of 120 lines. Each day I checked Image Right for estimates from repair facilities or subrogation demands from other insurance companies. Payment or denial were issued based on the Material Damage Supervisor's review. If payment was authorized a check was ordered through PTS. If a portion of the subrogation demand was deemed to be out of line it was my responsibility to order a check in the approved amount and write a letter indicating why I was denying a portion of their claim. If nothing remained to be done once the payment and / or denial was paid and /or letter mailed I would close the line. After I ordered payments and wrote letters with regards to payments, I would check my diary to determine what was required to resolve a claim.

What they like about Insurance Overload Staffing:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
