Daily Duties at Corning, Incorporated:

Returned to the Facilities Engineering department as a senior project manager after spending two years supporting a core manufacturing area. Led several facilities upgrades to support expansion, cost reduction, and/or process improvements. As a project manager, my daily tasks included developing project scopes and budgets, sponsoring capital requests, coordinating design activities, leading regular project team meetings, requesting bids from vendors and contractors, procuring equipment and materials, overseeing installation of mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural activities, presenting updates to plant staff, conducting training for operators and maintenace personnel, managing the project budget, coordinating updates to documentation and drawings, and capitalizing/closing projects upon completion. Coordinate safety reviews and hazard studies.
