Daily Duties at Corning Incorporated:

Promoted into management position from within my current group. Now managing team of 10 engineers and technicians responsible for mechanical, electrical, and process engineering support for pollution abatement equipment, raw material delivery systems, plant drafting/drawing management systems and facilities support systems. Manage annual department budget of $850K. Participate in strategic and capital planning for facilities upgrades to meet plant capacity and cost reduction targets. Provide coaching and direction for 4 project managers/engineers within the group. Monitor energy consumption and develop strategies to reduce energy costs. Assign engineering resources to resolve production support issues as needed. Develop long-term vision and strategy for the facilities engineering department.
