Daily Duties at Derr Construction:

Installing the camber in the truss system for the Baltimore convention center To get the information to obtain that you must go to the erection drawings, get the piece markings, then go to the shop drawings where it will be written there. After sitting up road barriers and laying the steel on top of them, assemble the pieces together stretching string lines to put the camber in the truss you have to keep checking to see that it stays there when bolting and torqueing to hold that camber during erection. I also was responsible for the safety system being installed on what I had built so the other trades men could use it to perform their work. Scheduling of the use of cranes since I had to use one of the erection cranes so I had to manage my work to catch them in a slow time or else it would hurt their production.
