Daily Duties at Och Regional Medical Center:
Assist the Director in administering and directing programs to purchase materials, supplies and equipment for hospital use, and coordinate the activities of workers receiving, storing, and issuing purchased items. I review requests for medical equipment from separate departments for equipment, furnishings, supplies, building materials, and other items to assure that requisitions adhere to purchasing policies. Work with monitoring major Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) including VHA Gulf States. Responsible for compliance with Public purchase Laws of the State of Mississippi, including, advertising for purchases, opening bid files. Assists preparing bid orders for major hospital purchases.
