Daily Duties at Children's Connections Inc.:
Provide comprehensive adoption services to prospective adoptive families, and support to birth parents. Mentor and support pregnant women that are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and considering adoption as an option; such as attend the birth of prospective adoptive babies when requested by birth parent. Recruit and certify adoptive families by conducting pre and post-adoption home studies and comprehensive assessments. Build families by assessing child and birth family, acquiring social and medical backgrounds, and assessing applications. Provide post-adoption assistance, organize and render services necessary to assure successful adoption. Establish and maintain relationships with local hospitals and fertility clinics; liaise with appropriate government entities to assure compliance. Conduct informational seminars for adoptive parents. Special projects as assigned such as obtaining CEU provider level designation for the agency. Conduct outreach activities throughout the Greater El Paso area and the Fort Bliss Military Installation; including material distribution, networking with community agencies and participating in community fairs.
