Daily Duties at Adey Sanchez And Lewis:

I was employed as a safety director I had quite a larger range of duties though since I handled writing most the time sheets for all the jobs. One of my jobs was to get all sign up or w-2 forms filled out as employees arrived on the job site, what trade they were in, then check all their certifications and see that they were up to date. My duties consist of me being on site early to make sure any men that arrived had not gotten injured at home, were then trying to get on site to claim it happened there, also seeing that all men were there and did not leave early if there was a night shift. If there was no night shift I would walk the job to make sure no winds or a storm had came through overnight and made a unsafe work condition on any of the jobs. Sometimes there may be 3 to 5 different area’s where the men may be working. Also while I did this it allowed me to see the progress in the work being preformed on site or how little of progress was made the day before. After the men all got moving I could go to the office and start writing out time sheets, which consist of me putting men under cost codes in proper work areas to the proper job. Then I could take the time sheets to the client to be signed if he had any questions answer them. It should have been somewhere around midday by then when ever I made it to my desk , I always wrote I always had things I needed to remember if you have to many jobs going on or to many people sometimes 80 per shift of just one trade , have 2 trades maybe 3 sub-contractors it can become confusing. Then during your walks you get a chance to monitor your sub-contractors. You should have daily progress meetings where everybody can tell you why you can’t do something, and then you get to explain to them how you can. When on your walks you need to check oxygen and acetylene so there is no reason for 20 men standing there saying I can’t cut apiece of steel we have no fuels, other than watching the men coming in at quitting time to make sure they do not break any of the clients rules or regulations or take nothing. They pretty much covers the day except for pre work meetings takes about 10 minutes in the morning explaining what we are doing that day and where we are hope to be. Directly after that meeting, Forman receive their work permits to be able to work in their areas , it may be hot work permit that allows them to burn and weld, it may be an areal permit that allows them to be up in the air working tied off 100% of course. I have quartly osha reports that get filled out and submitted which I fill out honestly and send to Osha in your area of work, Denver, Baltimoe, Florida and so on. First thing you want to realize is Osha is not the enemy. They are very informative if you need help. Payroll say a man is under paid if it is a small amount of hours normally he will let it be put on next week s pay. It is bad representation to a company for it to happen very often. Since I was walking the jobs enforcing safety I then monitored all the work activities to see what progress was being made daily,to help fill out the time sheets more detailed so there were no payment issue or guestions when I got them signed on a daily basis by the client.I also did the take offs on strucral steel blueprints so we could bid other work after speaking with other companies to get the prints or go to their bid room and do the work. If a job needed material ordered I would price the cost for the bid, fuel, rented equipment everything needed. If there were any accidents on the job I handled all the paperwork hospital situations with the personnel. Then we decided to become High pressure boiler certified or R stamp they call it. I took care of all the welders testing, ordering and following the code material used in the work and getting it signed off by the harford Inspector. Along with that came I.S. Net world a contact group if you are building something of preferred contractors. I filled out all safety questions for that program. I attended certain affairs and dinners clients had or vendors to try to get more business. I tried to do what was right when employed by a company anything to make it run smooth or make more revenue.

What they like about Adey Sanchez And Lewis:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
