Tax planning and compliance - managed the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function, and completion of accurate tax returns in order to minimize the tax obligations of the organization Managed 2 direct reports as well as 4 to 6 Big 4 accountants Researched and documented federal, state and local tax issues Identify, document, and implement tax saving opportunities Respond to various inquiries and audit requests from the IRS and State Revenue Departments Prepare & review federal and state income tax returns for the corporation and 300 subsidiaries
