Daily Duties at Merck Pharm:

Immunochemistry ELISA Specimen Handling Handling and processing rodent biological fluids such as blood, plasma, urine Technical Skills Working with rodent models (mice, rats) Animal handling, surgery, tissue collection, and sacrifice Dosing (IP, IM, IV and oral) Gtt-glucose tolerance test (dosing, bleeding, data analysis) Ltt – lipid tolerance test (dosing, collecting samples, data analysis) Experience in handling samples in deep freeze such as -80 freezers and liquid nitrogen Lab Management Maintaining lab needs such as chemicals, equipment and reusable material;, performing routing procedures such as equipment checks, chemical and radioactive waste handling, ordering procedures, maintaining stock, scheduling and coordinating research activities, monitoring hazardous work areas and lab safety Data Analysis Primary data analysis, plan research experiments and study designs. Word processing, very strong Excel skills, PowerPoint and spreadsheet. Competent at collecting and analyzing a large quantity of clinical data and performing statistical analysis.
