Daily Duties at Bloomberg Llp:

Assist on various projects, Transmit news feeds to Boston office, Crimp BNC cables for network connectivity, Record Bloomberg Forums (1 on 1 news interview segment). Assist with various Video projects, Box and ship old Beta tapes for recycling and eventual reuse, Assist Engineering team with network (both Cat-5 and Fiber) connectivity. Unbox, setup, install, and connect computers for new hires. **Note** These are responsibilities that had had for both summers combined. This is for 2 summbers, June-August 1994 and June-August 1995. Assisting on various projects was like helping a particular artist find the right texture for a graphic he was making, Doing a digital video edit for a regular employee who had to step away from his desk for a few minutes, Just little one-off "do me a favor" kind of things, as I said... a MANAGER-LESS environment. You did you job, then you went home. I assisted on Video projects by simply being available, making sure that I did what was asked of me. I cannot point to specific tasks as I was too young to understand the grander scope of the projects I was undertaking. I will tell you this though, I was one of the people who did some of the EXTREMELY EARLY (I mean EXTREMELY early) Prep work in constructing the studio where the Charlie Rose show is now taped. Some more responsibilities were to just run and fetch various connectors / monitors / keyboards / devices for whoever needed it.
