Daily Duties at Bank Of Guyana:

•Supervised the collection and consolidation of Commercial Banks’ and Bank of Guyana’s statement of assets and liabilities. •Prepared monthly, quarterly and annual reports on the development of the Monetary System. •Responded to queries made by commercial banks and other local financial agencies. •Fulfilled data requests from Multilateral Financial Institutions i.e. IMF and World Bank. Assistant Principal, Operations Department 1999 – 2000 – Supervisor of the National Clearing House (NCH) •Supervised the daily multilateral net settlement of the members (Commercial Banks and the Central Bank). •Ensured the distribution of statements and acted on any discrepancy relating to the accounting entries. •Ascertained the net amounts to be debited or credited to the individual reserve accounts of members. •Administered the daily operation of the cheque verification process. •Ensured government accounts maintained by the Bank were balanced and respective statements dispatched. 1987 – 1995 Clerk – Accounts Department •Prepared and disbursed local and foreign payments to beneficiaries and balanced the relevant accounts. •Maintained and reconciled foreign accounts held by Bank of Guyana. •Investigated and responded to queries made by Government Departments in relation to inadvertent entries made to their accounts.
