Daily Duties at Office Of The President Inter American Development Bank Project:
•Worked closely with the M&E Unit of the PCPMU, Line Ministries, Bureau of Statistics (BOS) and other agencies to improve the collection, collation, aggregation and delivery of data to stakeholders on a timely basis. This involved the development of: (i) Annual Work Plans; (ii) Annual Procurement Plans; and (iii) programme and sector indicators in consultation with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Unit at the Office of the President and sector ministries. These indicators were used in the Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers and the Millennium Development Goals Review. •Coordinated ministerial agency focal points to provide oversight and ownership to Line Ministries and the Bureau of Statistics. •Liaised with the donor agencies particularly the Inter-American Development Bank and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the implementation of the Social Statistics Project. The close collaboration with UNDP resulted in this organization providing complementary funds to advance the project. •Coordinated and monitored activities of Consultants and Units engaged in components of the project to ensure timely implementation in accordance with the agreement with the Bank. •Oversight responsibilities for midterm evaluation which involved: (i) preparation of Terms of References; (ii) participation in the selection of consultant and review of evaluation report; (iii) coordination of key stakeholders meeting to facilitate feedback; (iii) generation of the relevant reports for midterm project evaluation; (v) reviewing of evaluation report with stakeholder; and (vi) followed-up on recommendations for the re-alignment of project activities to ensure project objectives were achieved. •Worked closely with the Bureau of Statistics in streamlining data collected from Line Ministries and entered into DEVINFO. The end product of this exercise enabled Line Ministries and other users, to access the DEVINFO database which is now an integrated part of the Bureau of Statistics website in Guyana. •Responsible for the Procurement, Disbursement and financial reporting of the project, with the assistance of the project team.
