Under general supervision, propagate, cultivate, fertilize, prune, arrange, display and transplant various plant materials; prepare soil mixtures, label, map and inventory plant collections, maintain floral arrangements and displays, assist in floral show; maintain all horticultural equipment;l develop and conduct educational displays, tours and programs; effective pest control including pruning, and spraying insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and growth regulators, interact harmoniously with coworkers and the public; offer assistance as needed
