Daily Duties at Travelers Insurance:

Direct oversight of 8 claim professionals handling over 1400 open Workers Compensation claims files. Indirect oversight of 4 Unit Managers and their staff of 20 adjusters and 15 nurses. Instrumental in creating the number #1 ranked office (out of 26) in the country. Report directly to Field Product Line Manager. Reserving authority to $500,000 and payment authority to $250,000. Analyzed statistical data for file quality, key metrics and other performance measures. Supervised all high exposure losses including claims involving litigation, catastrophic injuries and Supplemental Income Benefits. Developed and implemented workflow procedures for entire department. Developed and implemented new hire “onboarding/training plan” Managed all local vendors. Completed monthly file reviews and calibrations reviews to ensure Best Practices are met. Leveraged data, management information and technology to identify and make the most of opportunities to support business strategies and improve results. Developed and presented multiple “employer schools” for our insureds and brokers.
