Daily Duties at Pamida:

• As the EDI Project Manager and Technical Matter Expert/EDI Developer, responsible for all phases of the EDI practice. • Evaluated and identified project requirements to establish operating procedural standards and recommended IT solutions to ensure acceptable levels of security and data recovery plans. • Researched technical solutions and product specifications for intelligence systems enhancements, projects and programs to enhance intelligence architecture, databases and information flow. • Interviewed candidates, and built a team for accomplishing core objectives. • Responsible for the management of a four-person team. • Worked extensively with PeopleSoft, Oracle, Retek and Manugistics Interface Tables. • Designed and implemented advance shipping procedures to ensure the supply chain was kept aware of the status of shipments from point of origin to the recipient. • Implemented a VAN switch project that allowed for a $50,000 annual savings over the previous VAN services cost. • Kept abreast of latest technological advancements and utilized the potentials of the same in responding to distinctive needs of the organization. • Instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning the implementation of new versions of Oracle database and database tools to proactively manage corporate global data within the established budget plans. • Streamlined Logistical Management process including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and global logistic functions in partnership with warehouses and logistical supplier. • Researched, Developed and implemented Software Update initiatives managed and controlled the project in entirety, involving conceptualization, budgeting, and contractual negotiations/renegotiations while ensuring strictest adherence to schedule, specifications and budget. • Key Player in (2) year project to upgrade eBusiness system to Sterling Commerce Gentran for Windows Server in a two tier environment. - This project realized over $100 (USD) worth of savings per outbound purchase order. - The project included a Y2K initiatives. The company realized a savings in time & money.
