Oversaw general accounting functions that include AP, AR, cash, inventory, GL and financial statement preparation. Coordinated with department managers to develop budgets and analyze performance reports. Maintained accounting chart of accounts as well as review/update accounting policies and procedures. Responsible for month-end close. Reviewed the journal entries and made necessary adjusting journal entries. .Reviewed balance sheet reconciliations and revenue/expense account analyses. HR duties performed - for about 4 months Worked with outside recruiters to present to the engineering department qualified candidates for hiring. Helped coordinate the interview schedule. Maintained confidential employee files and payroll files. Ensured compliance with employment laws and ensured proper payroll deductions. Assisted with the permanent residence and citizenship application process for employees seeking these items.
