Daily Duties at Sapa Aluminum:

Inventory Monitor, Scheduler, Supervisor and Anaylised raw material for two plants. Completed 90 day foracast and ordered material for both plants. Dispacthed and monitor the transporation of metal scrap for both plants. Had safety meeting daily and gave updates on company daily focus and goals. Ran open order reports,shipping reprots,WIP. took the results of these reports on a excell spreadsheet for the upper managment every moring. Also looking up hours for each department and put them on a spreadsheet as well. Then I would count raw inventory and input those numbers into a excell spreadsheet then would run a billet requirement report off the AS400 system that would let me know what the raw material requirment are for all custmer orders for each day . Then I would run a preort that showed me the raw martial orders for each day/week from the Orcale system. Then would analisis this data and would make changes of nessary to the raw material orders. I then would check in with the raw material handlers and give them there schedule for the day on incoming and outgoing loads for the day. The load arriving were the raw matailer of aluminum which could be 6005A, 6061,6063 and other kinds of alumim material. The outging loads were metal scrap,unused wood and trash also steel scrap as well. As the supervisor for all three handlers I would train on safety,update new policy and inforce them. I hired and fired and keep track of vacation days and payroll sumit weekly. I also would complet a 90 day forcast for ordering aluminum logs and sumit this to the upper managment team. i ran several reports from the AS400 and orcale system to do the 90 day forcast I used usage and volume form past years to forcast as well I also would run sales and custmer orders to chang raw material order if nessary. I ordered wood and packing supplies such as plasic wrap and cardboard. The company hired me as a manager trainee and I worked in each department for two weeks ( packing, shipping, faberication, exturtion and finally went to production planning where I became the prodcution scheduler. I also estimated recovery quickly on -site with common metal scrap items. I was responsible for attainging new accounts( following leads,cold-calling and through esisting relationships). maintaining esisting accounts and purchaing material.
