Daily Duties at Bed Bath & Beyond:

Manage the day to day operations of the housewares department including managing sales associates in the department. Just in the housewares department there are around 10 associates with different shifts. Training and development of associates. Making sure products and merchandising is attractive to the customers shopping experience. Handle ordering of products and inventory control. Help decide where products are stocked and displayed. Help predict trend and product statements to appeal to customers. Analyze sales reports/information, sales targets, and plan to increase department profits. Supervise and coordinate activities of associate. Interview job applicants and evaluate workers performance. Assign duties to associates, train associates on store policies, procedures, and job duties. Order merchandise, supplies, and equipment. Record delivery of merchandise, compare records with merchandise ordered and report discrepancies, control cost, and maintain correct inventory control. Inspects and maintain correct inventory levels in addition inspect merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced, and displayed. Recommend additions and deletions of merchandise to be sold in the department.
