Daily Duties at Crystal Technlogy Inc.:
• Initiated significant cost reduction measures by increasing the life cycles of production crucibles by more than 50%; tested, repaired, and maintained equipment. • Designed and fabricated intricate vessels for high-temperature production and R&D uses; used Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding on thin platinum metal. • Fabricated tools from stainless steel; used 20 ton presses to shape crucibles. • Trained co-workers in the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. • Participated in implementation of new processes and tools throughout the production line; documented and trained operators in the new processes. • Collaborated bi-weekly with Production Management and Process Engineering groups to constantly improve efficiency and develop key operational metrics. • Forecasted usage, shortages, and overages of raw materials on a daily basis • Performed cycle auditing to reconcile and maintain accurate strategic inventories of high purity raw materials, including precious metals, powders, and acids
