Daily Duties at Dignity Health/St. Rose Dominican Hospitals:

Develop public policy priorities and goals for advocacy efforts in Nevada, develop and implement educational and action plans for statewide efforts to influence public policy, lead process of setting priorities with system-wide experts and individual hospital markets among advocacy issues and of articulating specific positions, work to develop and implement an enhanced advocacy presence and overall reputation for Dignity Health-Nevada. Represent Dignity Health-Nevada in a variety of public policy forums, meet directly with state and federal elected officials, testify before local and state committees as necessary to influence the legislative process and represent the interests of the hospitals. Author internal communications including, but not limited to, memos, reports and presentations for the Executive Management team, Board of Directors and sponsors. Establish relationships and influence thinking and decision-making at all levels of the organization and with elected officials, seek opportunities to develop relationships of trust between hospital leaders and elected officials. Build and foster grassroots network of professionals that can aide in reaching out to elected officials on issues important to healthcare. Seek opportunities to expand Dignity Health’s influence by serving on or leading relevant committees within trade organizations.
