Daily Duties at Liberty Mutual :

▪ Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate settlement of bodily injury claims to conclusion, involving motor vehicle accidents and homeowner claims, such as dog bites and slip & fall losses. Claimants may or not be attorney represented. ▪ Determine necessity for independent medical examiners, accident re-constructionists, and cause & origin experts. ▪ Manage litigation process. Responsibilities include developing and revising appropriate legal strategies; establishing budgets; monitoring expenses; and attending depositions, mediations and trials. ▪ Prepare and submit contentions/evidence in response to Inter-Company Arbitration filings for purposes of mitigating personal injury protections subrogation demands. ▪ Handle all field assignments within the State of Delaware, including completing scene investigations; locating/obtaining statements from relevant parties; securing police reports, court dispositions, Department of Motor Vehicle records and vehicle/injury photographs; assist in determining feasibility of potential surveillance locations; and attending mediations. ▪ Participate on the Claims Review Committee and in Quality Assurance audit process. ▪ Consistently maintain high scores for claim handling with respect to “process adherence” and “outcome” standards.
