Daily Duties at Temple University:
Responsible for grading student papers, exams, and quizzes as well as to giving lectures. Created the syllabus and course materials for every class I served as the instructor. Maintained records of student attendance and grades and submit them to Blackboard an intranet portal where students can view assignments, study materials, messages, and grades for all assignments, quizzes, and exams. I was always prompt and accurate in recording, posting, and submitting the students’ final grade reports. I attended a variety of training courses to increase my skills as an instructor and a user of specific computer-related technologies, and I regularly attended departmental meetings. I distributed and reviewed the course syllabus and course schedule during the first class meeting of each semester. I also utilized active learning methods and use a variety of instructional strategies designed to assist my students in meeting the objectives of the course. Examples of such activities can include, but are not limited to: a. cooperative learning; b. experiential learning; c. writing for learning; and most importantly d. critical thinking initiatives. During the entire time at Temple University I kept informed of ongoing developments and practices in my professional content areas. I prepared all of the appropriate materials and equipment in a timely manner necessary to meet course objectives in collaboration with field trips and guest lecturer events involving a variety of university personnel. The Public Relations Students Society of America (PRSSA) requested me as a guest speaker where I related my involvement and experiences with non-profit organizations as well as to impart specific information as to what the students can expect in the field of public relations upon graduation. One of my highest priorities was given to the support of the students’ learning goals by: a. focusing on student learning outcomes; b. taking into account the needs, abilities, and diversity of the students; c. becoming familiar with academic and social support; d. making reasonable provisions to accommodate individual differences; e. maintaining the academic integrity of the college; and f. making myself available to assist student in achieving their learning goals and career advisement issues. I regularly provided students with letters of recommendation when requested.
