Daily Duties at Stewart Enterprises, Inc:

As the Accounting Manager for the Southern Division, I was overseeing the entire financial preparation and reporting. I was responsible for the budgets for our operations in Florida, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Supervised the accounting and cash management departments (10 employees). I was responsible for the verifying and analyzing of the budgets for Eastern Division (10 states) in addition to the Southern Division, Analyze balance sheet accounts reconciliation, perform due diligence on new acquisitions (Florida and Puerto Rico, Mexico), Liaison between Mexico, Puerto Rico companies and corporate accounting, oversee the Mexico accounting department, managed the day-to-day operations of the Southern Division accounting department, signed the checks to pay vendors, approved adjustments to general ledgers accounts, hired/trained new accounting staff and interns, prepared performance evaluations to accounting staff, prepared president's report (summary of monthly financial results to divisional president)
