Daily Duties at Rutherford & Christie, Llp:
• Associate trial/litigation attorney Involved in all aspects of preparing motor vehicle, product liability, general liability, premises liability and personal injury cases for trial. Conducted initial client interviews, drafting and arguing substantive discovery motions, performed extensive legal research in preparation for the drafting and filing of discovery responses, motions, and legal briefs, conducted and then subsequently cross-checked depositions for inconsistencies to locate questionable deposition testimony that might be relevant in trial or when deposing other, future witnesses. • Was assigned by the firm to handle 12 matters involving allegations of negligence involving product liability and personal injury against one the leading and most recognized airline companies in the country. Responsible for maneuvering the lawsuits through the Federal Courts for both the Eastern and Southern Districts of the State of New York. • Attended settlement negotiations, arbitrations and mediations and was responsible for the successful resolution of those matters in favor of the client.
