Daily Duties at Goldgroup Mining, Inc.:
Hired on an interm basis to bring some stability to the daily operations of the mine location. The period was for a seven month window while corporate continued the search for and actual "Mining Engineer" to run the operation. Day begins at 0600 hrs. and ends at 1900 hrs. Morning meeting held with all direct line supervisors for the days planning and details on completion of work from other days. Applied knowledge from the morning meeting to the overall cost evaluation and Mine Budget. Approval of all activity and purchases came through my office for my signature. Communicated with Mine Manager on directions for the present and future of the mine planning. This in turn would forecast the cost for operating. Negotiations with vendors and to regain our Credit stature with them and created diplomacy between the vendors and the company. Communications lines were opened to fix the problems. Continued contact on all Fridays and Mondays with the employement company utilized to man the operation. Helped the employment company to develop their own pre-employment screening process and a back log of qualified possible candidates for future employment.
