Daily Duties at Stewart Enterprises, Inc:

As Director of Quality Control, I was responsible for all of the Quality Control for the Pre-need Funeral and Cemetery Contracts as well as the At-need Cemetery Contracts company-wide (25 states and Puerto Rico). The review and monitoring of these contracts took place in Dallas, TX and Orlando, FL. I had two Quality Control Departments responsible for the accuracy of each contract. Each department had 1 manager that reported directly to me and fifteen staff members that reported to the manager. In total the Quality Control Departments were 32 employees. develop/create standard practices, procedures and measurements for the entire Quality Control group. Solve problems as they occur, Identify resources and place them where needed, Analyze data for errors and provide training to reduce errors, I had a $1.2M budget to work with the Quality Control group, set and meet deadlines, Inspect Performance and results, Manage/maximize resources and time, develop/coach and mentor the new QC management team to increase their knowledge base, improve their skill sets, provide more management of day-to-day functions, Delegate responsibilities, Implement a standardized performance management/feedback system for QC, show improvement in measured performance of QC metrics, integrate the two QC centers into one unit with standardized practices and procedures.
