Worked as an independent contractor on a joint project with Hawaii Department of Education and NOAA to provide standards based marine education curriculum for K-8 classrooms. Working with the department of education researched their need for locally meaningful marine science curriculum. Designed lessons, multimedia supplemenets and evaluations for K-5 science curriculum. Worked collaboratively with senior project managers and curriculum specialists to develop lessons. Wrote objectives and developed assessment tools for lessons. Extenisve research, writing, reading, and editing was used daily.
