Daily Duties at University Of Virginia:
Produce job postings for research assistants and collect resumes, transcripts and writing samples. Serve as timekeeper for student workers and sign (F-1) forms for foreign students. Pull job candidate application and resumes from HRIS system for selection, review and interviewing. Manage yearly clerkship application process for student applicants for 1,000+ federal and state judges. Key examination grades into system and run reports. Compile, maintain and upload course materials to LawWeb. Provide administrative support for 13 assigned law faculty professors. Create spreadsheet reports for faculty expenses and complete basic computations. Responsible for maintenance, confidentiality and proper disposal of legal files. Manage calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate travel arrangements. Type, edit, revise, print and proofread correspondence, voluminous teaching materials, examinations, articles and other legal manuscripts and memoranda, proposals, and reports. Perform detailed legal research and obtain comprehensive legal information. Troubleshoot technical computer problems; analyze, evaluate, and utilize new software packages. Legal transcription. Inventory control and purchasing.
