Daily Duties at Convergent Wealth Management:

- As a 2011 summer intern my official responsibilities were to assist the Investment Strategy Group in creating Q3 2011 portfolio recommendations and performing regular due diligence on activated fund managers. - In addition, I was responsible for re-balancing client portfolios in accordance to the Investment Strategy Group's Q2 2011 recommendations. - My daily duties included briefing the Investment Strategy Group each morning on current events along one of five asset classes. - Twice a week, I dialed into and took notes on fund managers' teleconferences, which outlined fund strategy and short-term market outlook. - Each week, I would take minutes in due diligence calls with the Investment Strategy Group and publish findings on the internal company website. - I reallocated 30+ client portfolios ranging from $100k to $10m with the goal of maximizing return and minimizing volatility while reducing tax exposure. - To conclude my internship I presented a rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis of over 200 small capitalized, growth oriented fund managers to the Investment Strategy Group, ultimately recommending a single manager.
