Promoted to oversee Floor and Wall department. Managed up to 15 departmental employees and supported management of all 200+ store personnel. Maintained responsibility for specialty sales of flooring and window treatments. Directed product merchandising within store and department. Analyzed performance and created reports on department status and overall objectives. Initiated cost reduction measures. Supervised stocking and provided customer service. Handled $5M budget. Trained and mentored staff and monitored evaluated performance. • Received Department Supervisor of the Month Award. • Achieved store’s lowest amount of loss through damage and theft among all departments. • Selected to represent store at company meeting with Senior Management. • Implemented initiatives allowing for enhanced tracking of broken materials resulting in identification of process improvements and increased profits.
