Daily Duties at Chan / St. Peter's Healthcare Services :
Oversaw Internal Audit function, including financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits. Performed special and simultaneous audits and projects. Attended senior management and finance/accounting meetings as well as finance/audit committee board meetings. Reported to Board of Trustees and President & CEO. Daily tasks included: Performing annual corporate wide risk assessment across healthcare entity, encompassing over 85 operational areas reviewed for risks and mitigation. Performed operational / compliance / it audits within organizations / reported findings to Executive Management and Audit Committee of Board. Reported directly to CEO/ attended his bi-weekly Operational Staff Meetings / met with him indvidually on a 6 week basis. Reported directly to Audit Committee Chair of Board of Directors. Met with her at least every other month, communicated quite frequently as necessary by e-mail or phone as audit issues arose. Attended Corporate meetings on a regular basis; member of monthly Finance Staff Meetings, Corporate Compliance Meetings, Operational Meetings. Worked with Director of Compliance Program as appropriate. Reported audit activity / issues to Corporate CFO on a monthly basis as requested by CEO.
