Daily Duties at Autoliv Electonics America:

Supervise two positions that report to me. Mentor, coach and train the two employees so they are succesful in their jobs. As the IT lead it is my responsibility to make sure the admins are successful. I have to make sure that they feel they are part of the group and that what they are dong is helping the company in some way. It is my job to make sure each individual is trained on the corporate standards. I had to train the two on networks and how they work, and troubleshooing them and using the correct tools and how to use them. I had to train the employees on how to use their purchase card, when statements were do, whatis required for them of their statements and what they have to turn it. It is my responsibility to make sure they understand the difference between a taxable purchase and not, and what the difference between a capex purchase is and just an requisition. It is my responsibility to train them on how to use the purchasing system. I had to show them how to write a req, how to handle request for quiotes. The procedures of 3 quotes, the way to handle rejections of vendors. I also had to teach them how to succeed in their job. Follow up was a big thing I had to train on, confidentiatl data and what it means to them as IT professionals. I am required to answer questions for them that they cant. I am required to work with them on their goals to make sure they are successful not only in projects, but as a person. What they want to move into. Take responsibility for their day to day operations and make sure their ticket ques are getting handled, they are meeting sla’s. Workign on plans with them for projects that need to be implemented. Wrapping up smaller tasks. Being the go to person for them when they are stuck.

What they like about Autoliv Electonics America:

A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
