Daily Duties at Charlotte Mecklenburg School District:

•Prepare and monitor 8.5 million dollar department budget and act as department budget analyst •Responsible for managing implementation of projects to include technology, processes, procedures, and training - to partner with Business Systems, Transportation, and Auxiliary Services departments •Responsible for inventory strategy with objectives to minimize annual spending and maximize availability of inventory •Responsible for monitoring inventory for the transportation parts and maintenance inventories •Manage process improvement project teams for Inventory Management and Distribution operations •Manage drop ship projects for new textbook adoption and current adoption to 168 schools which ranges from $1 million to $10 million annually, prepare bid for physical education of $900,000 and responsible for evaluating and awarding bid based on cost, quality, and customer satisfaction •Coordinate inventory owners to measure performance of inventory accuracy, order fill rates, and turnaround times. •Prepare reports for quality flow, disposal of obsolete inventory, lost/damaged items, backorders – correspondence to parents, departments, and executive staff •Review and evaluation of reports and recommendations for improving policies, procedures, and systems of operations •Supervise, train, and develop department staff to meet expectations of the district •Responsible for initiating hiring process and member of interview team
