Daily Duties at Dallas Independent School District:

Maintains consistency in the focus on academic rigor, personnel management and student management Formulates action plans and modifies programs and procedures to improve all campus efforts. Uses organizational skills to resolve problems and make decisions necessary to improve the school’s operating systems. Monitors lesson planning and implementation to ensure that alignment of curriculum, instruction and assessment meet TEKS objectives and reflect strategies, which will meet individual student needs. Designs and participates in a personal professional development plan to improve professional skill and knowledge which is based on student achievement, campus, district and state needs. Monitors classroom performance of all teachers on a regular basis, offering pathways to improve individual student performance through improved teaching practices. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and listening skills. Develops a management system that encourages positive student behavior, self-esteem and a supportive climate to facilitate maximum academic achievement. Ensures that school rules are uniformly observed and that consequences of misconduct are applied equitably to all students.
