Daily Duties at University Of California, Merced:
• Administered daily operations of the Physical Planning/Design & Construction department at UC Merced. Oversaw contracts management, document control system, purchasing of fixed furniture and equipment, inventories, personnel and payroll processes, space management, computer systems, and prevailing wage documentation. • Supervised contracts manager, capital projects procurement coordinator, document control specialist and support staff. Indirect supervision of seven project managers/architects. • Developed and managed multi-fund $8 million departmental operating budget. • Managed complex capital budgets for UC Merced construction, approximately $400 million. • Maintained oversight of contract development, bidding process, qualification-phase, and post-award troubleshooting in consultation with University of California Office of the President. • Acted as campus administrator to work with LEED consultant and document all LEED NC related documentation for campus (which was mandated LEED silver or better).
