Daily Duties at The Shepherd Center:
- 2011 Co-Chair of the "Summer in the City" event. The "Summer in the City" event is a fundraiser hosted by the Shepherd Center Society. The event featured fine food from 12 local Atlanta restaurants which was paired with star wine from partner National Distributing Company. Also had live music and a silent auction. - worked alongside the Events Manager and Director of Development Operations from the Shepherd Center overseeing a committee of 40 adults to host "Summer in the City." - Scheduled meetings, prepared agendas, and sent timely reminders to the committee members. -Recruited and located candidates to fill open committee chair positions. . - Promoted "Summer in the City" via Access Atlanta, Jezebel, and Facebook. - Worked and stayed between the allotted budget for the event, which was $10,000.00 - Made cold-calls to people and companies throughout Atlanta asking for monetary donations or gifts in kind for the auction. - Created auction displays for each auction item; wrote clear descriptions of items and displayed the print out in front of each item. -Managed all committee at the event
