Daily Duties at United Constuction Co.:

I was ariganaly hired to layout the concrete tilts prier to the building being built the site is excavated and building hubs are placed by serveries.once those were in place i and about fifteen guys would Lay out all of the interior strip footing piers and exterior ditch lines.working off of plans engineered drawings using transit and laser levels.I would work directly with the site foreman as to when footing and persware ready for inspection and ready for concrete,I would build layout boxes and brackets to hold footing bolts for interior beams,I was also put in charge of supervising concrete pours which would involve being on the site at 11:00 pm and pour out 800 + yards of concrete buy 5:00am the next morning then i would usually stay and work until 4:00pm that day my normal shift.Once the floor of the building is poured I and a crew would lay out all of the interior walls on the slab Again we would work of of engineered plans I would also be put in charge of laying out all of the roof support ledgers These had to be in perfect for ounce the wall was stood these would all line up with opposing angels so that the 600,000. sq feet of roof would drain.I would be put incharge of layout all of the exterior truck loading ramps off of plans and us simin forms to do so.I would also be moved to Rita Aid stores that were being built to lay out the pharicec and work on finish details in side.
