Daily Duties at Amtrust North America Insurance:

Manage a $6,500,000 book of renewal and new business, underwrite all size of premium accounts. Analyze information in order to write profitable new business according to company guidelines. Evaluate account information to determine if an account has been profitable and should be renewed or cancelled. Review audits to see if proper codes and payrolls are on current policy, if not take immediate action to bring up to date with information provided. Respond to state specific crits in a timely manner to avoid fines. Look up claims and get loss control or agent involvement if necessary, in order get help with restrictions accommodated. Order loss control on risks where we need to get a better understanding of the operations and safety programs/measures in place. Follow up on recommendations that were given in order to keep accounts profitable or cancel account depending on report. Communicate internally with audit, loss control, accounting, and claims to best manage accounts. Refer accounts that are above authority to my manager and present my case as to why an account should be written. Visit agents in order to share company appetite, increase submission flow and establish or grow relationships.
