Determined the role of ryanodine receptor (RyR) phosphorylation and its cross talk with BK channels in the development of asthma. Established and validated the in vivo murine model of allergic asthma in Balb/C and C57BL6/J mice. Induced asthma in genetically modified mice expressing mutant RyR2 (RyR2-S2808A knock-in mice) to explore the role PKA phosphorylation in ASM contractility.
